Audits can vary from full-blown, annual business process assessments for an entire organisation; to informal, site-specific safety or insurance checks. The challenge is ensuring that outcomes are recorded, issues prioritised for resolution and completion monitored consistently, regardless of audit scale, type or geographical location.

To meet these challenges, Prime has launched its new Audit System. Based on its Compliance Monitoring System, the new software allows organisations to set company-specific audit questions and processes on any type of business procedure from trading laws to financial control; health and safety to claims monitoring . Audit visits can be setup and scheduled in advance and once on site, the auditor can access the software online, create a new record and log any issues found, comments from site staff, or other important information. 

On completion of the audit, the site manager is immediately supplied with a report taken directly from the system and can access relevant information online. Over the following weeks and months, both the site manager and auditor can prioritise any issues identified, update the system once they have been rectified and add comments where appropriate.

According to Prime Systems Director, Paul Ramsell, their system is already showing benefits for key customers. “One major client needed to record regular in-house audits, make corporate and site managers aware of what changes were required and check these tasks had been completed, all from a central point. Previously this had been largely paper-based, costing hours of administration time and making monitoring inconsistent. The Prime Audit System has saved money and created consistency across the business.”
