Some good news stories during COVID-19 (because we definitely all need some of those right now)

We wanted to round up some positive news stories from amid the unsettling and concerning Coronavirus reports. Here’s what some of our Prime customers have been doing during the outbreak, from opening their sites to NHS workers to dishing out free Easter eggs, some positive stories that will hopefully provide a little lift amongst the doom and gloom.

Last week it was announced that in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Bluestone National Park Resort is to become a Recovery Centre for patients in Pembrokeshire. In the wake of the ongoing public health emergency, part of Bluestone’s extensive facilities, as well as open spaces, will be utilised to help treat those in need and those recovering from the virus. Bluestone is joining a local, regional and national effort to do everything possible to prepare for the unfolding outbreak and ultimately save as many lives as possible.

Leisure Resorts are also supporting the NHS while their holiday parks in Cumbria are closed. They are offering their lodge accommodation across their Ullswater and Lakesway holiday parks for free to front line emergency service workers in the North and South Lakeland areas who are making long daily commutes or not wanting to return home to protect others in their households. NHS and Emergency Services workers can make a request for accommodation by visiting: https://leisureresorts.co.uk/cumbria/

Wilko’s have been donating hundreds of Easter eggs to schools and key workers who are at work during the COVID-19 outbreak, they were helped by the North Nottinghamshire Business Improvement District who collected the eggs and are now delivering them to schools across the district. Wilko’s also donated eggs to Mawdsleys, a global pharmaceutical service provider, who are working hard across their depots to supply the NHS and support hospital pharmacy staff.

You can’t get to the gym, so the gym will come to you!
